BERKSHIRE PORK

Butcher Hanging Beef

We believe in sustainable agriculture and knowing where your food comes from. We raise all of our animals as humanely as possible, and we do not use any antibiotics, added hormones or GMO grains.

Our meat is processed at a local butcher, which is a USDA inspected facility. We are happy to sell individual cuts of meat as well as whole, half and quarter shares.

ANGUS BEEF

Our Angus Beef cows are raised here, at Cedar Ridge Farm, on lush green pastures that are only treated with all natural sunshine, rain, and livestock manure. The cows are supplemented with a small amount of non-GMO grains to  help ensure tenderness and marbling in the meat. They are also free of antibiotics and added hormones. This will ensure the highest quality tasting meat. Stop by and try our Angus Beef steaks, burgers, and more.

BERKSHIRE PORK

We choose to use nothing but the best breeds to get the best tasting meat, and that’s why we raise Berkshire Pork. This breed originated in Berks, England and is known for its exceptional tenderness and juiciness. Our pigs are given non-GMO grains, plenty of fruits and vegetables and have access to indoors, outdoors, and even a wallow to cool off in. As always, our promise is to NEVER use antibiotics or growth hormones to promote growth.

GRASS FED LAMB

Our lamb is 100% grass fed. We currently have about 25 ewes that we lamb out every year. They spend their lives rotationally grazing on our lush pastures with the cows. Our pastures are never treated with any commercial herbicides, pesticides, or sprays.

PASTURE RAISED CHICKEN & EGGS

Our laying hens and broiler chickens follow our Angus cows around the pasture in their chicken tractors, where they have free access to lush green grass, bugs, and non-GMO grains. Pastured hens are healthy hens, and healthy hens are happy hens. This results in golden yolks and delicious flavored eggs. Our pasture raised meat chickens have the same benefits as our layers with free access to pasture. They are indoors under a heat lamp as chicks, and when they are old enough they are moved outdoors to be on pasture. There is truly a difference in flavor and texture when raised with these sustainable farming practices.

We buy all of our meat at Cedar Ridge Farm. Luke and his family are absolutely fantastic. No antibiotics, growth hormones and GMO. We want to  give our kids meat that is healthy.
